The holiday season, let alone the closing out of one year to welcome in a new year, causes many people to live amongst the clutter of wrapping paper, left over food, and sometimes, left over house guests:))… And sometimes de-cluttering those those things can be exasperating…especially when there is so much talk about resolutions, goals, and ideals that are expected for a new year.
So, before you go any further…… take a deep, slow breathe. Really breathe it in…….and then breathe is out. Feel it from your toes to your gut out your mouth. Then relax!!!!
You have been through this season and chaos before. If like me, many times before:). To many to want to count, quite honestly. However, those many repeats have taught me a lot. They have taught me that I went through the same mayhem before, and I survived it. It taught me that planning things out, from the initial gift shopping to the new year festivities and even the kick off of January 1…kept me so much more sane, than the many times I did it adhoc.
I, especially, have learned that I need to pace myself…and like it was noted before in an earlier post…. ‘Life is a marathon, not a sprint”…so I have slowed myself down from going crazy this time of year.
So my RICH Tip for you as you are slowly easing in to a brand new year is to….’Plan, Slow Down, and BREATHE!!!”. You got through many previous years of craziness, and you will once again this year. But one additional tip – read through the prior postings about Planning, Goal Setting, your WHY Spot, Sabotage-rs and more…and really be prepared for 2012. You will thank me for it!
