What Are You Afraid Of? YOU? Tips for Confronting the Bitches in Your Heart and Head!

What frightens you the most from looking into the mirror? And I don’t mean what scares you when you see your sleepy tired eyes, or must hair, or the pimple that showed up over night. I am talking about what deep seeded emotions, memories, belief systems, and inner critics are you most afraid of?

There is nothing to fear except the persistent refusal to find out the truth, the persistent refusal to analyze the causes of happenings. ~ Dorothy Thompson

When you consider that question, does it seem silly, that you would be afraid of those intangible things? Does it get your blood boiling to admit that your head can create such paralyzing emotion that it stops you from living your life fearlessly and bold?

Sure many people are afraid of falling backward, or jumping off of a bridge, being attacked, or losing everything that they own. But long before there is the slightest chance of those things happening (though will not be ignorant to say they don’t), most women and men fear facing their own thoughts, their own pains, their own emotional scars and fears; leaving them to hide from living the life they so want.

Said another way – they are afraid of confronting THEMSELVES… causing them to hide from themselves, and therefore the rest of the world.

What will it take for you to face the mirror, and to See, Feel, Touch, Taste, and Hear from YOU, from both your head and your heart.

Here are some initial steps to take in CONFRONTING you in the mirror;

  • Write out all of your skills, talents and accomplishments (riches). All of the things you are proud of (regardless if anyone else is)
  • Take time to really honor and appreciate those RICHES that you already possess
    • Write out what emotions you are feeling as you look over your list
  • Write out all of those things (riches) that you want from your life? What are your dreams, goals and desires….. be honest, be detailed, and be open to them. Always note – this is for YOU, no one else
  • Now, write out all of the bitches – or fears, doubts, insecurities, negative mindset or belief systems that you have about achieving those RICHES…… be honest, be raw, be open, and be willing to FEEL – if that means crying, screaming, laughing, being scared – feel it. Again, this is only for YOU!!
    • Let this part take its time to evolve. Don’t rush it and don’t repress it. FEEL it, FEEL YOU!
  • Review your lists – your skills, your talents, your accomplishments (riches) – your feelings… then look over your list of bitches….
    • Make note of the skills, talents and accomplishments that could help you to confront and shed those bitches, then write out what other solutions, options or ideas you have for shedding them
    • Write out the people, resources, tools, or support that you can reach out to for help
  • Set yourself a goal for confronting and shedding 1 of those bitches at a time – define how you will do it, who can help you, and by when you want to accomplish it!!!!!
  • Looking over your list…. commit to it!!! Feel the energy of the focus, clarity, and motivation you feel by simply writing it out in black and white. It is not so scary is it. It may not be easy to accomplish, but now you have a plan
  • Now take action on shedding your bitch – and feel the rush of adrenaline and accomplishment you feel

Then let me know how it goes…. and I will pass on additional tips for continuing your ‘shifting from bitch to RICH’.
